Its all about the music. I never planned to be a booking agent. I never saw myself as a talent manager. My passion for music made the choice for me. From my first favorite song, Wake Up Little Suzy by the Everly Brothers, it was my destiny. I know this to be true because my mother entered it into my baby book. I have always loved music. I sang in the boy's glee club in junior high school and in a one hundred piece choir in high school.

I started booking bands for our dances in high school. As roadie and sound man in 1976, I soon learned I could make more money in a support role and liked working with musicians. I have seen hundreds of bands and concerts and have a good ear for music and an attention to detail and professionalism. That year, I had the opportunity to book a stage at the Iowa State Fair exclusively. I will always be in grateful to Jim Taylor for that opportunity.

In 1979, I promoted the first concert at Sec Taylor stadium in Des Moines, Iowa featuring Luther Allison as the headliner. In 1980, I hosted, co-produced and sold advertising for a weekly cable television series called High Society. The show featured local, regional and national artists including Dartanyan Brown, Bo Ramsey, Duke Tumato, Chick Corea, Dave Brubeck, Grinderswitch, and Pure Prairie League featuring Vince Gill, to name a few. In 1981, we were nominated for an award for cable excellence by the National Cable Television Association.

From 1980 through 1986, I booked all the bands for Seniom Sed, a weekly fundraising event and after work party in downtown Des Moines. It ran from May through September and became one of the top ten largest fund raising events in the country for the Jaycees.

In 1987, I moved to Kansas City and became a Blues fan. I wrote press releases for Roger Naber of the Grand Emporium for seven years and and served on thier web site committee. I will always be grateful to Roger for that experience and opportunity to see so many great shows at the Grand Emporium.

I am blessed to be surrounded by so many great musicians. I thoroughly enjoy owning my own business and being a full time booking agent and DJ. I book local, regional and national artists all over the country. I  DJ weddings, private and corporate events and am a DJ at KKFI 90.1 FM. I am also a record collector. I've have tried to gain some balance in my life by becoming a volunteer at an Alzheimers Center and a Senior Care Facility. It's extremely gratifying and well worth my time. However, I stlill spend some of my time there talking about music with my elderly friends and schedule entertainment for them on holidays. Its all about the music.
